Melissa’s fitness journey began in 2013 with CrossFit and Olympic lifting where she experienced exhilaration in growing stronger through functional movements. This discipline instilled a deeper understanding of body mechanics, strength training, and endurance. She began practicing yoga in 2017. Melissa found an appreciation of yoga’s holistic approach to fitness with the emphasis on aligning breath with movement and fostering a deep mind-body connection to address physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing through various practices. With her background in CrossFit, Olympic lifting, and yoga, she is uniquely equipped to offer supportive yoga practices tailored to athletes.
As a yoga teacher, Melissa’s motivation stems from a deep passion for helping others discover and experience the transformative power of yoga. Her own journey of exploration and growth through yoga has ignited a desire to share this practice with others. Ultimately, her goal is to contribute to a larger movement of holistic wellness and community connection through guiding others on this transformative practice!
Melissa joined the CrossFit community in 2013 and joined the Yoga community in 2017. Teaching Yoga since 2022.
